Case Study

Context:  This video is used in the onboarding course for new volunteer foster families who want to foster cats with Laurel Cats - a volunteer-run cat organization.

Challenge:  The goal of this video, and the course it was designed for, is to make the onboarding process for new volunteers much more digestible and interactive. There is a lot of important medical information to include in volunteer onboarding and it can be quite dry to read through.

Solution:   This video condenses the key medical information for the volunteers to know at this point into a short video with visuals to keep the learner engaged.

Result: The intention of this video is to increase the rate of successful volunteers onboarded into the cat fostering program. This will be measured by comparing the percentage of potential volunteers that complete the process using the video and onboarding course to those who used the 24-page SOP document.

Design Document

This document was created in the planning stages of this project to determine the sections of the video, video clips to be used, and other design elements like titles and transitions.
