Case Study
Context: This video is used in the onboarding course for new volunteer foster families who want to foster cats with Laurel Cats - a volunteer-run cat organization.
Challenge: The goal of this video, and the course it was designed for, is to make the onboarding process for new volunteers much more digestible and interactive. Previously, new volunteers were asked to read a 24-page standard operating procedure and ask questions. This caused many volunteers to drop out of the process at this point.
Solution: This video serves as an introduction to the organization and to the interactive onboarding course created for these volunteers. It can also be used for other promotional purposes to spread awareness about the organization.
Result: The intention of this video is to increase the rate of successful volunteers onboarded into the cat fostering program. This will be measured by comparing the percentage of potential volunteers that complete the process using the video and onboarding course to those who used the 24-page SOP document.
